These Terms of Use govern your use of House Project Budget, provided by Reuben Enterprises ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. Apple's App Store terms and any applicable Apple end-user licence terms also apply. If there is a conflict concerning the App Store or your Apple account, Apple's terms control that matter.
House Project Budget is a personal tool for recording home-project budgets, quotes, expenses, tasks, notes, and attachments. It is not banking, accounting, tax, legal, surveying, construction, or other professional advice. Figures and summaries depend on the information you enter. You remain responsible for checking costs, contracts, invoices, permissions, tax, safety, and professional advice relevant to your project.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's rules.
You must not misuse the app, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, reverse engineer it except where the law expressly permits, use it unlawfully, or infringe another person's rights. You are responsible for ensuring that content you add, including photos and contractor details, is lawful for you to store and share.
You retain ownership of content you enter or attach. You give the app permission to process that content only as needed to provide its features. Data is stored locally by default. Optional iCloud sync depends on your Apple account, device settings, network connection, and Apple's services.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and checking PDF exports before relying on or sharing them. We cannot guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, delayed, or unavailable.
The free version currently supports one active project, up to three quotes per project, and up to ten expenses per project. We may adjust future feature limits, but we will not deliberately delete existing user data because Premium is inactive.
Premium currently unlocks unlimited projects, quotes, and expenses, PDF export, optional iCloud sync, and receipt or photo attachments. Features may evolve as the app is updated.
Premium is available through Apple as monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. The monthly plan advertises a one-month free trial where Apple confirms that your account is eligible. The price and applicable taxes are shown by Apple before purchase and may vary by country.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, Apple may renew the subscription and charge your account under its applicable terms. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Cancelling prevents future renewal and normally leaves Premium active until the end of the paid period. Trial eligibility, billing, refunds, and renewal are controlled by Apple. Use Restore Purchases in the app if an active entitlement is not recognised.
When Premium ends, Premium-only actions may become unavailable, but the app does not intentionally delete existing project data for that reason.
We aim to keep the app useful and available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features that rely on Apple, including purchases and iCloud, may be affected by Apple's services. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, including for security, compatibility, legal, or product reasons.
The app, its design, software, branding, and documentation belong to Reuben Enterprises or its licensors. These terms do not transfer those rights to you. Your project content remains yours.
The app is provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties that may legally be excluded. We are not responsible for decisions, purchases, building work, contractor performance, overruns, missed costs, or losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information entered into the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reuben Enterprises is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business, opportunity, or anticipated savings arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or rights that consumers cannot waive.
You may stop using the app at any time and cancel Premium through Apple. We may terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including ownership, disclaimers, liability, and governing law, survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in your home country that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these terms when the app, pricing model, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide any notice required by law. Continuing to use the app after an update takes effect means the updated terms apply, to the extent permitted by law.
